Yes. 2026 is the first year Squash It Up is taking bookings, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. What it means for you: a small, hand-picked schedule, the founder on every install, and a real interest in getting your porch right. What it does not mean is inexperience with pumpkins — this started as a personal obsession long before it was a business.

Questions worth
asking us
Booking, delivery day, keeping pumpkins alive through an Ohio Valley October, and what happens once the season ends. If yours is not here, ask us directly.
Measure the width of the area you want decorated. Up to 12 ft is a Classic, 12–20 ft is a Signature, and anything with a wraparound, double staircase or grand entry is an Estate. The Reserve is for when you want us to go as far as we can, with nothing set in advance. Still unsure? Send a straight-on photo of your porch through the contact form and we will size it for free.
You request a week rather than a specific day. There are four to choose from between 21 September and 18 October, and we schedule the exact day inside your chosen week so we can route the whole area sensibly. We confirm that day with you in advance, and it stays subject to change if the weather forces a move. Our schedule is small this season, so weeks go in order of booking — if the one you want is full we will offer you the nearest alternative.
No. We just need clear access to the porch and a note about any gate codes or dogs.
A Classic takes about an hour. A Signature runs two to three hours. Estate and Reserve installs take longer, depending on the staging and the size of the entry.
We install in light rain without any issue. For storms or lightning we simply move you to another day inside your week, which is one of the reasons we book by the week rather than by the day. We text you the moment we know.
Yes. Bringing the pumpkins to you and stacking, laying and arranging them on your porch is included in the package price. There is no delivery fee and no styling fee. The only optional charge is End-of-Season Removal.
Coming back after the season, taking the entire display down — pumpkins, bales, gourds, everything we brought — and hauling it away so you do not have to. It is completely optional. Add it at checkout, or leave it off and keep or clear the display yourself.
Six to nine weeks through an Ohio Valley autumn, and longer once the nights turn cold. We choose thick-walled varieties and set everything on straw so air moves underneath, which is what stops them softening on wet concrete.
Nothing is required. If you want to be helpful, nudge any pumpkin that starts to soften off the concrete and back onto straw. That is it — and do not wash them, water breaks down the coating that keeps them sealed.
Payment is taken in full at booking — that is what holds your delivery week. Anything added later is charged separately.
Full refund up to 14 days before your delivery week starts. Inside 14 days we can move you to another week once at no cost, or issue a 50% refund, since the pumpkins for your display are already ordered by then.
Yes — storefronts, offices, restaurants and events. Those are quoted individually, and we can work outside the four standard delivery weeks. Use the contact form and tell us the square footage and the dates you need.
